While doing some Early Childhood Education research I came across an interesting article in the Washington Post regarding reading to newborns. As most of us know, studies have also shown that children who were read to as newborns have a larger vocabulary, as well as more advanced mathematical skills, than other kids their age. But oddly enough, new research is showing that fathers reading to newborns significantly increases newborns predicted language ability at 36 months when compared to mothers.
