I'm really curious to hear what the Relias Connect community has to say about this interesting article: Urban Design Can Change The Lives Of People With Autism | Co.Design | business + design.
Elizabeth Decker has developed a toolkit for her master's research at Kansas State University, which she hopes will help urban planners design more inclusive communities for adults with autism and other disorders. Taking into considerations the success other cities have seen in dealing with dementia patients (reference this article and this article); how successful do folks think this would be?
On the flip side - would this only be a further hindrance? Would catering so specifically to this population, hurt them in the long run?
Looking forward to your thoughts.
