I don't typically share items from Buzzfeed, but this BBC short seemed to be a good one. Also, I thought you might value looking at a UK based nonprofit called Silver Line (http://www.thesilverline.org.uk/) referenced in the article. What resources if any in the US do you turn to in an effort to diminish elder loneliness? This is such an incredible resource for companionship. I especially like that the resource allows folks to sign up for a weekly friendship phone call. I'd love to hear if you know of anything similar in the US like maybe a reputable PenPal program for connecting with seniors.
