Certificate Overview

Whether you need to load certificates associated with accrediting bodies so your learners can get continuing education credit, offer a credential verifying that a learner has completed all trainings within a curriculum, or you just want to create a unique record for your users who complete specific courses, you can easily create certificates directly in your LMS. Your custom certificate may then be associated with any course or curricula owned by (created by) your organization.  You may select among some simple borders and backgrounds provided by Relias Learning or upload your own background image for your certificate. You may access the certificate feature under the Training & Enrollment menu:

When you first access the certificate module, you will see a list of all certificates available in your site.  This will likely include several course-based certificates that are included as part of your contract with Relias Learning. While your learners can print any of these for an associated course completion, you cannot directly modify any certificate for which you do not have ownership rights.

On this page, the certificates created by your organization (marked with an asterisk) will be listed first, followed by shared certificates created outside your organization.

The Apply To column indicates whether the certificate can be associated with courses or curricula.

For certificates not owned by your organization, you may click on "Courses" or "Curricula" under the Apply To column to see to the trainings to which those certificates are assigned.

Please note that all courses are automatically eligible to receive the "Generic" Certificate. For more information about the generic certificate, click here. There is no equivalent of the generic certificate for curricula.
