If your organization plans to use videos uploaded into the RLMS, it may be helpful to whitelist the following web address with your IT department, player.vimeo.com. This will allow learners to view videos within the RLMS, but prevents them from accessing the Vimeo website to browse for other videos.
Uploading a New Video:
To upload a new video, click on the "+Upload New Video File" button. This will open up a new window where you can search for your video file. Click "Browse" to locate the file.
After you locate your file, click the "Submit" button. A new window will open where you will enter a Title/Name for your video and an optional Description. Click the "Save" button when done.
Your video has now been added to the list and will be hosted within a private account through Vimeo.
Previewing the Video:
You can also preview your video at any time directly from the Video Detail screen. Click on the title of the video to access the Video Detail screen. The preview function is located at the bottom of the screen. Click the "Play" button to preview.
Updating Video Details:
If you need to update the title or description, click on the title of the video to go to the Video Detail screen. Make your updates and click "Save" when done.
Deleting a Video:
To delete a video, check the box next to the title of your video. Then click the "Delete" button.
You can also delete a video from the Video Detail screen.
Please Note: You cannot delete a video if it is being used in a module. In order to determine whether the video is currently being used in a module, go to the Video Detail screen. The list of modules using this video will appear on the right side of the page.
