IP Address Whitelist

The IP Addresses Whitelist section is located within the Settings tab under Site Properties.



The IP Address Whitelist contains the locations (IP addresses) from which Administrators want to permit "Non Exempt" users to access to the Relias Learning Management System via PC and the mobile app.


Step 1: Define users as "Exempt" or "Non-Exempt" via their user profile. This can be done manually, via bulk import, or Web Services . To review information regarding updating in bulk this field please review this document: Importing and Exporting Users  

  • "Exempt" users are allowed to access the RLMS from any IP address.
  • "Non-Exempt" users must access the RLMS through whitelisted IP addresses.
  • Please Note: Users default to "Non Exempt"  status and Administrators are always exempt for multiple reasons, including but not limited to the fact that if someone inputs an IP address that is incorrect, Administrators still can go in and change the IP addresses to be correct.


Step 2: Add the specific IP addresses that "Non Exempt" users are allowed to access the RLMS to the IP Address Whitelist. This is located in the Site Properties section of Settings. 

  • Any "Non Exempt" user trying to access the RLMS outside the specified IP address(es) will receive a message notifying them of the restriction. 


To enter an IP address, type the IP address in the text box and click the "Add New" button. Multiple addresses may be entered.

Once added you will receive a successful message:

To delete an IP address check the box next to the address and click the "Delete" button:
