Additional Hierarchy Access
The Hierarchy is a tool on the Relias Platform that allows you to organize the reporting structure to reflect the organization of your company. The Hierarchy will determine which Learners each Supervisor can see/manage. You can learn more about the User Hierarchy in the Hierarchy: The Basics document.
Additional Hierarchy Access allows Supervisors access to Learners that they supervise outside of their hierarchy without their Administrators providing them more access to Relias than they need.
Additional Hierarchy Access can be selected from a Supervisor's User Profile Page. This user profile attribute is only available for users with the Supervisor role in Relias. This field can be found below the Hierarchy field and will indicate which additional hierarchies the Supervisor has access to:
Training & Enrollment
Supervisors with enrollment permissions will be able to enroll Learners from specified hierarchy levels into:
- Training Plans
- Policies & Procedures
- Career Paths
A Supervisor will not be able to enroll Learners outside of the levels specified on their user profile.
The Users page will default to the hierarchy specified in the "Hierarchy" field on the Supervisor's profile. Supervisors with user management permissions will be able to filter the user list to view any additional hierarchies that are listed in the "Additional Hierarchy Access" field on their profile.
Supervisors with user management permissions will be able to:
- Create new user profiles
- Deactivate / reactivate user profiles
- Edit sub-levels in the hierarchies they are able to access
- Add / edit license information for the users in the hierarchies they are able to access
A Supervisor will not be able to manage Learners outside of the levels specified on their user profile.
Supervisors with report management permissions will be able to report on all Learners in the hierarchies they are able to access. This includes the sub-levels of the hierarchies they are able to access.
