In the past two years an LPN it has been one of the most challenging professions I have ever come across, but my biggest struggle is to being a nurse in the nursing home setting. I have heard and seen things that is not agreeable and challenging to even think about, and it has put me in a sense of "Burnout". I love what I do and would not change it for anyone, but what I would change is how other fellow nurses attitudes and the way they treat one another. We are a "Team", so they say, but in another sense every man for herself. I understand the word " Compassion" and not just for the people I take care of, but for my fellow nurses and other medical personal. Just my thought of the day.
