Okay, I am not going to write in this blog everyday maybe a couple posts a month. Today I wanted to talk about mindfulness or in other words being in the moment. If you have ever played sports and made a great play it is almost as if time slows down., you are in the moment and your mind and whole body is focused on one thing or all of the things it takes to complete that one play. So you might ask why am I bringing this up; It is because mindfulness can help you in so many aspects of your life. I woke up Wednesday in a bad mood for no reason, it could have been a bad dream; I don't really know. So in the moment I knew that I needed to focus my thoughts on the positive. I reminded myself it's just another day and who knows what great things could happen during the day. I focused on my routine and maybe took a little more time enjoying my breakfast or morning workout...and sure enough my mood had changed.
Work can sometimes add a lot of pressure to our lives and we may react in the moment in an adverse way. What we all need to do is when a negative feeling comes our way is try to understand why and then take a moment or be in the moment and try to put a positive spin on the situation.
