I always wondered where this saying came from. It being the month of March I decided to look up and found that the phrase originated from kissing the stone in the Blarney Castle. Kissing the stone will give you the power of eloquent and persuasive speech. So, kissing someone who is Irish is maybe the closest you'll come to kissing the blarney stone!
