Do you offer your initial Client Rights, HIPPA, Customer Service, etc. training online during New Employee Orientation? Or do you have the initial training in the classroom, then follow up on an annual basis with Relias online training?
We are a law enforcement organization, but we use a combination of Relias and classroom training for our pre-service/new hire orientations. The amount of each is dependent on your position. We are looking ways to leverage blended learning and how we can maximize our training time using Relias and skills based hands on training.
We do both. We do have an initial orientation day...meeting the executive team and having presentations from the CFO, QM, IT, Finance etc and then we utilize RELIAS for a number of courses some you mentioned above.
We also do a combination of classroom and online training. The same is for our annual requirements.

We hold our orientation in a classroom however would like to be able to have it online
In our Healthcare Facility we cover HIPAA, Customer Service, Compliance and Abuse and Neglect with verbal/written training requiring a confirmation signature form the employee, along with a short 16 minute video presentation on Be Safe at Work that is a brief overview of Bloodborne Pathogens, Slips Trips and Falls, Back Safety, PPE, and Fire Safety. We then follow up with annual Relias training for more in-depth coverage. The video is presented on new hire paperwork day where all new employees meet with an HR representative. From there each department covers specifics during the employees orientation days. I have recently been looking at updating the video at the same time hoping Relias would come up with something similar. I am having difficulty finding a training that would work as an overview across the campus for nursing, grounds, maintenance, nutrition and housekeeping all at once. If I could show the right training module to a group and be able to mark them complete in Relias while demonstrating how to access Relias that would be an added bonus. ;0)
