My son is 5 and I'm excited that this year we finally have quite a few of his hand made ornaments to hang on the tree.
My kids are 6 and 8. They love to help decorate.
My babies are 16, 15, and 6. They LOVE to hang the ornaments they made on the tree each year! I let them put the ornaments on the tree, but I'm in charge of placing all my nutcrackers!
I always loved nutcrackers.
I always pick a "theme". This year is Peppermint Delight!! lol..... candy canes and red and white. Cant figure out if there is a way to upload a pic from my phone to Relias Connect.
Just my wife and me at home, so its traditional. All the chicks have left the nest. We're empty nesters.
Less is more!!!
I am old enough to have gone through several phases. We used to do a lot of homemade items when my children were little--stringing popcorn and everything. We had times with babies and pets where everything was plastic. Then we went to breakable bulbs, right up until we had grandchildren. Now we do themes. We have a purple theme and a candy theme. This year we went with the candy theme. Green tree, clear lights, and red, white, or red/white decorations. Always have to have a big nutcracker next to the tree. Cindy McLendon, I tried to figure out how to upload my picture, too!
How did you manage? I have pics on my phone, but unsure of how to link up to Connect.
My wife has a tradition of getting me a tree ornament for Christmas every year. I am starting to struggle to find places to put all of them on our tree. It is going to be even harder this year because we have a one year old who I am sure is going to want to pull off any low hanging ornaments so that she can play with them.
My tree at home is riddled with ornaments that have no theme or match, except for the number of ornaments that look like shoes. My wife likes to collect shoe-shaped ornaments almost as much as she likes collecting shoes.
I've had a Charlie Brown Christmas tree ever since I moved out on my own. It's less than three feet tall and takes about 10 minutes to put up, but is the perfect size for now. I have homemade and sentimental ornaments, so no matchy-matchy. I plan to "graduate" to a bigger tree after my husband and I buy our first house. Maybe next year!
We are pretty traditional. Tree as multicolored lights and many of the ornaments have been passed down through generations. Plus there are new ornaments that started when I married. A bit of everything! But in my eyes, beautiful and meaningful.
Even though my child is still a teenager I love hanging the ornaments he made as a child.
Traditional as always... mean a lot to me and my family
