Are staff at your organization sometimes confused by training in Relias? Specifically, are they confused by the process of completing training being tracked in Relias, but not completed through Relias?
I don't believe our employees are confused by this because we've only been with Relias for 3 years and, prior to that, all training was external to whatever program we used to track our training hours. So it's really nothing that we're doing; it's more one of those "because it's always been done that way" type of things.
I personally love Relias doing the 'tracking' for us!
We love hearing this kind of feedback! I'm glad that you've been able to incorporate the tracking functionality to help save you time
I haven't heard any confusion about this. The way it works here is if they complete an outside training, they have to sign the sign in sheet and then I log their training. We've been doing this for at least a few years, so like Barb said, it's "always" been done this way.
A lot of women on my job are confused about this. They're always looking for someone to do the test for them, because they don't comprehend the course. Even when it's explained to them, they still don't get it.
Our staff is a little confused because we're just starting to do use this as a tracking device for all trainings. We do a lab monthly for new hires and will be preparing them for what they will be looking at.
Our staff seem to be grasping the tracking of classes, but it has taken a little transition time. We are currently working toward housing ALL training on Relias. We will still have live training, however we will track the attendance on Relias and house any certificates/paperwork related to live training on Relias. We have about 900 employees and it is just creating way too much paperwork!
Thank so much for the feedback! We are just starting to use Relias to track everything and staff are just so used to sending certificates from outside training to HR or our records office...even after the online course in Relias explained the new process and an all staff email explained it again, we still only have about 30%-40% of staff completing the process entirely and that percent includes the folks I helped along the way...
The learning curve is strong with this one.
Hello Gwen Brinkley, I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble adding employee and that you haven't been able to connect with our support team! I will be happy to help you! I'll be sending you an email in the new few minutes to assist.
At my facility, nothing is confusing about Relias. The problem is that individuals wait till the last minute. It is plain and clear that 1 is needed each month per the State of VA. to keep you license. Relias is fun, but I can not seem to find the Electives anymore.
Hello Angela Abbassi, I took a look at your account and it doesn't appear that you have the option turned on to allow you to view electives/self-enroll in courses. You will need to contact your supervisor to see if you can have this enabled.
KATIE FOX and Holly Shirk. My staff of 500 are no longer confused by the Relias tracking and completion of inservices. In the beginning, I held multiple face-to-face inservices to allow for questions about the process. This was the biggest help. At the start of any face-to-face inservices, I remind the staff that I will be completing their attendance to the inservice on Relias but to give me a call if it is still showing up after a couple of days. I no longer keep paper records of their attendance. Relias is doing that for me. Yeah!! Good luck. Susan
