Welcome to the Forum for participants of the Introduction to Community Corrections Partnerships online course! Now that you've learned about various community corrections...let's hear about your agency's partnerships.

For readers of the Forum who have not taken the online Introduction to Community Corrections Partnerships course, please consider doing so.  It is a free course, developed by the American Probation and Parole Association with funding and support by the Bureau of Justice Assistance. You can register for the course by going to the APPA CE Quick homepage (http://appa.cequick.com) and searching for the course using the keyword search box.

Course Assignment: Now for those of you who have taken the course, think about the types of partnerships your agency engages in with other agencies and organizations.  How would you classify them based on the types of partnerships you learned about in this lesson (i.e., enhanced supervision partnership, fugitive apprehension, interagency problem-solving, enhanced services for individuals on supervision, specialized enforcement partnerships)?  Pick at least one type of partnership in which your agency is involved, and provide a description of the partnership by responding to this thread in the discussion forum.

If you want to know when someone else posts a response in a particular forum without having to login, click on the "Following in" link on the upper right hand side of your screen. Check the "inbox" option and you will receive an email when someone else posts a response in this discussion.  By doing so, you will get a chance to learn about other types of partnerships community corrections agencies are involved in--maybe get an idea of something new your own agency can do!

Once you post your response, don't forget to go back and complete the final parts of the lesson, including the final exam, so you can get your Certificate of Completion.  Thanks for sharing information with us!
