I'm sorry that you've experienced issues with your course. I was able to open and resume the course in the most up-to-date version of Chrome. If you have access to Chrome, I recommend using it when taking the course. I also recommend that you ensure that it is up to date.
When using Chrome, you will also need to enable certain permissions on the page. Once the course popup opens, click on the small 'i' icon that has a circle around it, which will be to the left of the course URL. Once you click on that, select Always Allow for the following options:
It's also possible that the issue you're experiencing is caused by an uninstalled or outdated version of Adobe Flash. I recommend downloading and installing the newest version of Adobe Flash, restarting your browser, and seeing if your issue is resolved. You can access the newest version by visiting http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.
